During the last month, 29 trading sessions for the purchase and sale of natural gas were held in PP BETS on the medium- and long-term market, as well as 4 trading sessions each day on the short-term market.
254 starting positions were formed in the PP BETS for resource trading in February, March, April 2025, in the GTS and UGS. In total, 122.25 million cubic meters of natural gas were sold on the medium- and long-term market. 1.15 million cubic meters of natural gas were sold on the short-term market.
On the medium- and long-term market in January, quoted prices in the section of the same name were in the range of UAH 17,090-21,600 excluding VAT. Auction initiators formed starting positions mainly for sale.
JSC "Ukrtransgaz" carried out purchases of natural gas on the UEEX in a separate section - "Purchases of imported natural gas". During February, 101.1 million cubic meters were purchased at item prices in the range of UAH 26,306.97-32,320.00 excluding VAT.
On the short-term market, exchange rates changed daily in a narrower range - 16,500-18,000 UAH excluding VAT. State Company "Gas of Ukraine" formed applications for the sale of natural gas in this segment within the framework of gas sales in accordance with production sharing agreements.
"During February, stable activity of participants in the natural gas market was observed. Sales volumes indicate the effectiveness of exchange instruments in meeting the needs of participants. We are constantly working to make trading processes even more convenient," said O. Kovalenko, CEO of UEEX.
