Over the past month, PP BETS held 70 trading sessions for the purchase and sale of natural gas on the medium- and long-term market, as well as four trading sessions each day on the short-term market.
293 starting positions were formed in the PP BETS trading platform for resources in July, August 2025, and subsequent months, in the GTS and UGS. In total, approximately 120.45 million cubic meters of natural gas were sold on the medium- and long-term market. On the short-term market, 514 thousand cubic meters of natural gas were sold.
In July, the quoted prices on the medium- and long-term market in the section of the same name ranged from 20,777.71 to 22,500 UAH excluding VAT. Overall, prices declined by the end of the month. Auction initiators formed starting positions mainly for purchase.
On the short-term market, exchange rates fluctuated daily within a wider range of 20,800-25,240.2 UAH excluding VAT. Sales were available exclusively in Ukraine’s GTS.
Last month, activity increased in the “Cross-border, customs warehouse” section, where 148,800 MWh of natural gas was sold.
"In July, the structure of natural gas trade underwent changes. We are now seeing a process of reorientation of the natural gas market towards imported resources, as reflected in the results of exchange trading. Accordingly, the number of non-resident companies wishing to participate in tenders in order to sell resources to Ukrainian companies on an import basis or to trade in a “customs warehouse” is growing. Currently, we have 10 accredited non-residents in the Natural Gas sector. We create and maintain transparent and convenient conditions for trading and servicing the trading process, ensuring high standards of work for both Ukrainian and international companies, and we strive to ensure that every market participant feels confident and comfortable working with us," said CEO of UEEX O. Kovalenko.
