Over the past month, PP BETS held 32 trading sessions for the purchase and sale of natural gas on the medium- and long-term market, as well as four trading sessions each day on the short-term market.
160 starting positions were formed in the PP BETS trading platform for September and October 2025 in the GTS and UGS. In total, approximately 22.58 million cubic meters of natural gas were sold on the medium- and long-term market. On the short-term market, 3.03 million cubic meters of natural gas were sold.
In September, the quoted prices on the medium- and long-term market in the section of the same name ranged from 19,950 to 20,168 UAH excluding VAT. At the end of the month, there was a slight upward trend. Auction initiators formed their starting positions mainly for purchase.
Last month, agreements were concluded in the “Cross-border, customs warehouse” section with delivery at the border. The total volume under these agreements amounted to 122,760 MWh at prices ranging from €36.35 to €38.4.
On the short-term market, exchange rates fluctuated daily within a similar range – UAH 19,016.80–20,100 excluding VAT. Sales were mainly available in Ukraine’s gas transmission system.
September demonstrated the stability of the natural gas market ahead of the winter season. The short-term segment of the market became more active, with an eightfold increase in trading volumes compared to the previous month. This is a positive sign in terms of the objectivity of marginal price formation and the dynamism of price changes. We are constantly working to improve the efficiency of trading processes, which contributes to the transparent and reliable functioning of the market," said O. Kovalenko, CEO of the UEEX.
