On June 25, 2025, the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX) held an auction for the sale of electricity under bilateral contracts initiated by Energoatom-Trading, a subsidiary of NNEGC Energoatom JSC.
According to the results of the auction, the company sold 100% of the tendered volume - 1,339,200 MWh of electricity with a supply period from 07.01.2025 to 07.31.2025. The weighted average price amounted to 4704.25 UAH/MWh, which reflects market demand and competition during the auction.
The auction was attended by 110 bidders, of which 51 won, confirming the market’s high interest in the resource from a reliable state-owned producer. To ensure the fulfillment of their obligations, 11 participants used bank guarantees totaling UAH 297,861,991.25, including counter-guarantees from non-accredited banks. This demonstrates the responsibility of participants and the importance of additional financial instruments in exchange trading.

Currently, 8 banks are accredited at the UEEX: JSC “Oshadbank”, JSC “PUMB”, JSC “Ukreximbank”, JSC “Ukrgasbank”, JSC “Sens Bank”, JSC “Credit Agricole Bank”, JSC ‘Pivdennyi’, JSC “Tascombank”. The successful practice of their use demonstrates the willingness of participants to fulfill their obligations, which is key to the sustainable development of the market," said Volodymyr Briukhovetskyi, Operating Director of UEEX.
