Last month, the Ukrainian Energy Exchange held 79 trading sessions in the PP BETS, 83 auctions for the purchase and sale of electricity in the Electric Power version of the PP BETS, and 4 trading sessions each day on the short-term natural gas market.
They resulted in the sale of 6305.48 thousand MWh of electricity, 152.92 thousand tons of oil and gas condensate, 29.51 thousand tons of liquefied gas, and 117.09 million cubic meters of natural gas.
In addition, in December, 261 auctions were held in the “Untreated timber and lumber” segment. The total volume of sales in this area amounted to 405.74 thousand cubic meters.
“The last month of 2024 demonstrated high activity of market participants, which contributed to efficient energy trading on the UEEX. Significant sales volumes confirm the trust in exchange trading and its important role in ensuring transparency and efficiency of commodity markets,” said CEO of UEEX O. Kovalenko.
