The Ukrainian Energy Exchange has introduced a new price indicator — the Decade ВCM Index, which reflects the weighted average market price of base load electricity for the next decade (DEC+1).

The index value is calculated based on the results of trading during the previous ten-day period, using the weighted average prices of base load electricity for the supply period covering the corresponding ten-day period (I, II, III) following the settlement period.

Information on the index value is already available on the UEEX website, starting from the first ten days of November 2025. For this period, the index is set at 5377.8 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT). The current value is updated based on the results of trading days, and the final value is determined based on the results of the last trading day of the decade preceding the calculation.

“Prices on the wholesale electricity market are influenced by many factors. Fluctuations in ten-day indicators are usually associated with changes in the balance of supply and demand. Therefore, the ten-day index is an effective tool for monitoring market dynamics and identifying key trends,” said Alexander Kovalenko, CEO of UEEX LLC.
