UEEX applied sanctions to participants violators of the trading Rules by the direction “Untreated timber”

Compliance with current legislation, Exchange trading Rules, requirements of regulatory documents are the main principles of Ukrainian Energy Exchange. Therefore, Exchange conducts continuous monitoring of compliance of its obligations under concluded Agreements by its participants according to the Rules and Regulations.

By the decision of October 31 of the current year, Exchange Committee has approved decision on applying sanctions to 10 participants, who participated in the trading of “Untreated timber and lumber” section, particularly due to violation of obligation to fulfill untreated timber purchase and sale agreement by the results of Exchange trades which were held on May 26, 29, June 2,10 and July 23 2025.

Financial sanctions in the form of a fine were applied to the participants-violators. Administrative sanctions in the form of suspension of admission to exchange trading (auctions) that will be initiated by the participant-seller, to whom the obligations were violated, were also applied to seven participants - the "Capital Forest Office" Branch of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" for periods of 1 and 3 months, the "Carpathian Forest Office" Branch of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" for periods of 1 and 3 months, "Podilskyi Forest Office" Branch of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" for periods of 1 and 2 months.

Exchange Committee stresses, that application of sanctions is a compulsory measure to ensure openness, transparency and competitiveness of trades. In order to prevent such events in the future, all the participants must strictly adhere to their obligations under concluded Agreements.
