Compliance with current legislation, exchange trading rules, and regulatory requirements are the main principles of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange. Therefore, Exchange constantly monitors the fulfillment of trading participants’ obligations under concluded contracts, in accordance with the exchange Rules and Regulations.
By the decision of October 21 of the current year, the Exchange Committee decided to impose sanctions on three participants who took part in trading in the “Untreated timber and lumber” direction, in particular, due to violation of the obligation to pay a fine imposed by the decision of the Exchange Committee of UEEX LLC. Administrative sanctions were imposed on the three participants who violated the rules in the form of suspension of admission to participate in exchange trading (auctions) by the direction “Untreated timber and lumber” from October 22, 2025, until the participant fully repays its debt to the Commodity Exchange – UEEX LLC.
Exchange Committee emphasizes that the application of sanctions is a compulsory measure to ensure openness, transparency, and competition in trading. To prevent similar situations in the future, all participants must strictly comply with their obligations under the concluded agreements.
