Last week’s auctions at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange for untreated timber showed the following results:
- the exhibited volume amounted to 26.31 thousand cubic meters;
- 6.60 thousand cubic meters of wood were sold;
- the cost of timber sales amounted to UAH 12.86 million (including VAT);
- the state received additional income during the English auction in the amount of UAH 174.92 thousand (including VAT).
The distribution of untreated timber sales was as follows: 24% - firewood, 76% - round timber.
Round timber
During the reporting period, the company sold 1.58 thousand cubic meters of round timber for a total of UAH 5.78 million (including VAT).
Spruce, oak and beech were sold the most, with their share in the total structure amounting to 42.66%, 20.82% and 8.85%, respectively. Also such species as fir, hornbeam, ash, poplar, sharp maple and red oak were sold.
The maximum increase from the starting price was recorded at 34%. Given that the auction step is 1%, the maximum number of steps was 34 for spruce, 34 for fir, and 25 for beech.

Firewood
During the reporting period, the volume of firewood sales amounted to 5.02 thousand cubic meters for the amount of UAH 7.09 million (including VAT).
The vast majority of firewood (88%) was sold for industrial use, while 12% was sold for non-industrial use.
Hardwood firewood was in the highest demand, accounting for 78% of the total amount.

Price indices
The largest upward trend among round timber price indices was shown by ash, which grew by 44% to UAH 7,109.15 per cubic meter including VAT.
In turn, the maximum decline was observed for fir. The weighted average price index amounted to UAH 2,708.15 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 18% less than last week.

The price index for non-industrial firewood of the first group increased the most, reaching UAH 1,302.00 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 35% higher than in the previous period.
Among all types of firewood, the cost of the third group has decreased the most, and now amounts to UAH 600.00 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 13% less than the previous figure.
