Untreated timber sales auctions at UEEX LLC for the last week showed the following results:
- Exhibited volume was 30,45 th.c.m.;
- Sold untreated timber 15,19 th.c.m.;
- Untreated timber sales value UAH 34,17 mln. (incl. VAT);
- State received an additional income during the trades on English auction for the amount of UAH 643,86 (incl/ VAT).
Untreated timber sales distribution was as follows: 59% – firewood, 41% – round timber.
Round timber
For the reporting period, 6,30 th. c. m. of round timber were sold, for the total amount UAH 21,17 mln. (incl. VAT).
Spruce, pine, and oak were the most popular species sold, with a share of 79,46%, 7,30%, and 4,78%, respectively. We also sold such species as beech, hornbeam, alder, fir and birch.
The maximum increase from the starting price was recorded at 54%. Given that the auction step is 1%, the maximum number of steps was 54 for alder, 46 for beech, and 44 for pine.

Firewood
During reporting period firewood sales volumes was 8,90 th.c.m. for the amount of 13,00 mln. (incl. VAT).
The vast majority of firewood (99%) were sold for industrial use, while 1% were sold for non-industrial.
Among firewood, hardwood and softwood firewood were in the highest demand, accounting for 50% and 29% of sales.

Price indices
Beech showed the biggest upward trend among roundwood price indices, with a 23% increase and a price of UAH 4 788,16 per cubic meter including VAT.
In turn, the maximum decline was observed for birch. The weighted average price index amounted to UAH 2578,55 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 41% less than last week.

During the reporting period, the price indices for firewood decreased.
The price index for non-industrial firewood of the first group remained the most stable, reaching UAH 1177,19 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 6% less than in the previous period.
Among all types of firewood, the cost of firewood of the second group decreased the most, which now amounts to UAH 989,13 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 28% less than the previous figure.
