Last week’s auctions at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange for untreated timber showed the following results:
- the exhibited volume amounted to 92.86 thousand cubic meters;
- 33.58 thousand cubic meters of wood were sold;
- the cost of timber sales amounted to UAH 71.37 million (including VAT);
- the state received additional income during the English auction in the amount of UAH 4.69 thousand (including VAT).
The distribution of untreated timber sales was as follows: 74% - firewood, 26% - round timber.
Round timber
In the reporting period, the company sold 8.88 thousand cubic meters of round timber for a total of UAH 36.62 million (including VAT).
Spruce, pine and oak were sold the most, with their share in the total structure amounting to 39.51%, 27.96% and 12.07%, respectively. We also sold such species as fir, birch, alder, ash, beech and others.
The maximum increase from the starting price was recorded at 107%. Given that the auction step is 1%, the maximum number of steps was 107 for aspen, 78 for pine, and 71 for larch.

Firewood
During the reporting period, the volume of firewood sales amounted to 24.69 thousand cubic meters for the amount of UAH 34.74 million (including VAT).
The vast majority of firewood (83%) was sold for industrial use, while 17% was sold for non-industrial use.
Among firewood, coniferous and hardwood firewood was in the highest demand, accounting for 37% and 36%, respectively.

Price indices
Spruce showed the largest upward trend among round timber price indices, with a 27% increase and a price of UAH 3,403.32 per cubic meter including VAT.
In turn, the maximum decline was observed for beech. The weighted average price index amounted to UAH 3,513.65 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 10% less than last week.

The price index for non-industrial firewood of the second group increased the most, reaching UAH 1,217.00 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 50% higher than in the previous period.
Among all types of firewood, the price of firewood of the first group is the most stable, which now amounts to UAH 1,228.59 per cubic meter including VAT, which is 0.4% higher than the previous figure.
