Untreated timber sales auctions at UEEX showed the following results as of the last week:
- Exhibited volume was 5,40 th. c. m;
- Timber were sold for 4,64 th. c. m;
- Value of timber sales amounted to UAH 15,82 million (including VAT);
- Forestry agencies received additional income during the English auction in the amount of UAH 2,22 million (including VAT).
Untreated timber was sold by forestry enterprises from 4 regions of Ukraine. The largest volume was sold in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Untreated timber sales distribution was as follows: 68% – round timber, 32% – firewood.
Round timber
During the reporting period, 3,14 thousand cubic meters of round timber for a total amount of UAH 13,36 million (including VAT) were sold.
Spruce, beech and pine were the most popular species sold, with their share in the total structure amounting to ,52,56%, 21,39% and 11,16%, respectively. The Group also sold oak, ash, fir, birch, alder and other species.
On average, the growth from the starting price was recorded at 20%. Given that the auction step is 1%, the highest average number of steps was for ash - 75, oak - 59, and alder - 58.
Firewood
During the reporting period, firewood sales amounted to 1,50 thousand cubic meters worth UAH 2,46 million (including VAT).
The vast majority of firewood (65%) was sold for industrial use, while 35% was sold for non-industrial use.
Among firewood, pine and hardwood firewood were in the highest demand, accounting for 43% and 20%, respectively.

Price indices
Among round timber, the largest increase in the weighted average price was recorded for oak - the current price is UAH 22 914,99 per cubic meter including VAT.
Instead, fir showed the most significant decline, where the price index dropped to UAH 3091,07 per cubic meter including VAT.

The largest increase among the price indices for wood for non-industrial use was recorded for the third group - the current price is 925,79 UAH/cubic meter including VAT.
At the same time, the largest decline occurred for firewood of the first group, the price of which dropped to UAH 1470,49 per cubic meter including VAT.
