Over the last week, auctions on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange for untreated timber showed the following results:
- the exhibited volume was 3.89 thousand cubic meters;
- 3.72 thousand cubic meters of wood were sold;
- the cost of selling wood was UAH 10.54 million (including VAT);
- the state received additional income during the English auction in the amount of UAH 1.01 million (including VAT).
The sale of untreated timber was carried out by forestry enterprises from 4 regions of Ukraine. The largest volume was sold in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The distribution of untreated timber sales was as follows: 67% – round timber, 33% – firewood.
Round timber
During the reporting period, 2.51 thousand cubic meters of round timber were sold for a total amount of UAH 8.65 million (including VAT).
The most sold species were spruce, fir and oak, where their share in the overall structure was 84.54%, 3.51% and 3.27%, respectively. There was also the sale of such species as birch, pine, beech, ash, alder and linden.
The maximum increase from the starting price was recorded at 50%. Considering that the auction step is 1%, the maximum number of steps was 50 for spruce, 46 for oak, and 45 for alder.

Firewood
During the reporting period, the volume of sales of firewood amounted to 1.21 thousand cubic meters for the amount of 1.89 million UAH (including VAT).
The vast majority of firewood (89%) was sold for non-industrial use, while 11% was sold for industrial use.
Among firewood, birch firewood was in the greatest demand, accounting for 69%, respectively.

Price indices
The largest upward trend among the price indices for round timber was shown by fir, with a price of 4,056.38 UAH/cubic meter including VAT.
In turn, the maximum decrease was observed for oak. The weighted average price index amounted to 16,279.16 UAH/cubic meter including VAT.

The price index for firewood for non-industrial use of the first group increased the most, reaching 1,675.73 UAH/cubic meter including VAT, which is 26% more compared to the previous period.
Among all types of firewood, the cost of the third group decreased the most, which now amounts to 828.00 UAH/cubic meter including VAT, which is 14% less than the previous figure.
