Untreated timber sales auctions at UEEX showed the following results for the last week:
- exhibited volume was 10,87 thousand cubic meters;
- timber sold for 9,18 thousand cubic meters;
- timber sales value was UAH 47,18 mln. (incl. VAT);
- forestry farms received additional income during English auction for the amount of UAH 5,97 mln. (incl. VAT).
Untreated timber sales were conducted by forestry farms from 7 regions of Ukraine. The largest amount was sold in Kyiv region.
Untreated timber sales distribution was as follows: 74% – round wood, 26% – fire wood.
Round wood
For the reporting period 6,79 thousand cubic meters of round timber for the total amount of UAH 42,12 mln. (incl. VAT) were sold.
The largest sales were for pine, spruce, and oak, which accounted for 37,36%, 32,59%, and 18,77% of total sales, respectively. Other species sold included fir, ash, alder, poplar, birch bark, and others.
On average, the increase from the starting price at English auctions was 11%. Considering that the auction increment is 1%, the highest average was for ash – 35, alder – 29, hornbeam – 25.
Firewood
During the reporting period, the volume of firewood sales amounted to 2,39 thousand cubic meters worth UAH 5,06 mln. (incl. VAT).
The vast majority of firewood (99%) was sold for industrial use, while 1% was sold for non-industrial use.
Among firewood, aspen and spruce were in the highest demand, accounting for 33% and 25% respectively.

Price index
Alder showed the strongest upward trend among the price indices for round timber, with a cost of 7128,69 UAH/cubic meter including VAT.
In turn, the maximum decline was observed for beech. The weighted average price index was 4190,09 UAH/cubic meter including VAT.

The price index for industrial firewood rose the most, reaching 2131,72 UAH/cubic meter including VAT, which is 12% more than in the previous period.
Among all types of firewood, the cost of non-industrial use of the third group decreased the most, now amounting to UAH 540,00/cubic meters incl. VAT.
