Price indices

Compared to last month, the weighted average prices for most roundwood decreased. The most significant changes occurred for such species as fir and birch.

Fir saw the largest percentage increase in prices (14%). It currently stands at UAH 3 292,18 (including VAT). One of the reasons for this growth is the quarterly auction for this species held this month. As a result, the demand for this breed has increased, which has led to competition among buyers.

The opposite situation was faced by birch. Its price decreased by 21% to UAH 3 099,25 per cubic meter (including VAT). The main reasons for this decline were a decline in both supply and demand for the species after the end of the quarterly auction. Sellers also set a slightly lower starting price at the auction compared to the previous period.
